Role Overview:
Our legal department is expanding, and we are in search of a Middle Legal Counsel to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for managing legal and compliance aspects related to the company's business activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting, reviewing, and revising contracts, internal policies, and other legal documents;
- Conducting research and analysis of legislation across various jurisdictions on a range of legal matters;
- Manage gaming license applications, renewals, and ensure adherence to jurisdictional regulations;
- Handle Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance, including conducting risk assessments, overseeing KYC processes, and ensuring smooth compliance checks with banks and service providers;
- Research and analyze legal risks related to the gambling industry, providing recommendations to mitigate potential regulatory and compliance issues;
- Facilitate communication with business partners, regulatory bodies, law firms, and other stakeholders to protect and represent the company’s legal interests;
- Assist in developing and implementing internal policies and compliance training to ensure company-wide adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
Ideal profile for the position:
- Master degree in Law;
- Fluent English;
- Minimum of 5 years of overall professional experience, including at least 2 years in the gambling industry (mandatory);
- Practical experience in obtaining and maintaining gaming licenses;
- Strong knowledge and practical experience in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.
