What You Will Do:
As Information Security Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and evolving Games Inc’s information security framework. You’ll ensure our platform, technology, and processes meet the highest security and compliance standards required by regulators such as the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) and the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA).
This is a hands-on and strategic role. You will lead our security and audit preparation processes, act as the subject matter expert for regulatory and security compliance, and work closely with our Platform and Engineering teams to design, implement, and enforce secure practices.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance & Audits
- Lead and coordinate all information security requirements for UKGC and MGA license applications, audits, renewals, and ongoing upkeep;
- Act as primary contact with regulators, auditors, and certification bodies on all security-related matters;
- Ensure audit documentation, evidence, and reporting are prepared, accurate, and delivered on time.
Security Governance & Frameworks
- Establish and maintain Games Inc.’s information security policies, controls, and procedures;
- Conduct regular risk assessments, security reviews, and penetration test follow-ups.
Platform & Engineering Security
- Work with the Platform Engineering team to integrate security best practices across infrastructure, platform services, and CI/CD pipelines;
- Oversee secure cloud hosting practices (AWS/GCP), network security, and data protection;
- Manage access control, identity management, and incident response plans.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Develop monitoring processes for vulnerabilities, breaches, and suspicious activity;
- Report regularly on security posture, risk, and compliance to the Director of Platform Engineering and the leadership team.
Growth & Leadership
- Mentor internal teams on secure development and operational practices;
- Scale your responsibilities in line with the company’s growth, moving towards broader InfoSec leadership and compliance ownership.
Skills & Experience
- Proven track record as an Information Security Executive within a slot studio, game platform provider, or regulated iGaming business;
- Extensive experience guiding companies through UKGC and/or MGA license security audits, with hands-on knowledge of regulatory expectations;
- Strong background in cloud security (AWS/GCP), network security, CI/CD security integration, and identity/access management;
- Skilled at designing, implementing, and enforcing security policies, monitoring systems, and incident response plans;
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with regulators, auditors, and internal teams;
- Comfortable in a fast-moving, scaling studio environment, with the ability to take ownership and grow the function.
