Role Overview:
A licensed and regulated sportsbook and casino operator in Portugal is looking for an organized and proactive HR & Office Administrator with at least one year of relevant experience, fluent Portuguese and Upper-Intermediate English, and strong MS Office skills. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicative, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and support all administrative and HR-related functions to ensure smooth daily operations of the company.
- Maintain and update employee records, contracts, and documentation in compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
- Support the HR department in recruitment processes, including posting job ads, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new hires.
- Ensure that health, safety, and workplace policies are current and properly implemented.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining a comfortable, efficient, and well-equipped workspace, including ordering furniture, supplies, and managing deliveries.
- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, ensuring efficient office operations.
- Handle office budgeting and expense tracking.
- Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, including in-house or off-site activities such as team-building events, celebrations, and meetings.
- Organize travel arrangements (transportation and accommodation) for staff and visitors.
- Provide ad-hoc administrative and HR support as needed, contributing to a positive and inclusive work culture.
Ideal profile for the position:
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year as an HR Manager, Office Manager, or Administrative Assistant.
Language Skills:
- Upper-Intermediate English (written and spoken);
- Fluent Portuguese.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office;
- Strong Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and reference functions.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent time management, multitasking, and prioritization abilities;
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills;
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels;
- Excellent organizational and planning abilities, especially in a fast-paced environment;
- Proactive, creative, and capable of suggesting process improvements and taking initiative.
Would be a plus:
- Previous experience working in an IT company;
- Background or training in Human Resources or Talent Management.
